Quality Control

For our business extensive analytical capabilities and reliability are of great importance. With more than 150 years of history in quantitative precious metal analysis to highest accuracy and more than 25 years of experience in quality control of APIs, Heraeus is well experienced in performing a wide range of modern analytical techniques.
Quality Control
The analytical department is a service unit to all Heraeus operations and acting independently from all Business Units which ensures objective service and data.
A specialized group within the analytical department is dedicated to quality control of pharmaceutical materials
Our new laboratories, built up in 2003, were the cornerstone of the improvement of the analytical services.
Our typical capabilities and services are, for example:
  • Stability testing programs for APIs and final dosage form products
  • Fully characterized reference standards available for all APIs at Heraeus
  • Analytical and technical support during development and routine production at our customers’ sites
  • Identification and in-house synthesis of unknown impurities / degradation products
  • Availability of all standard equipment (HPLC, GC, IC, FTIR, NMR, UV, ICP, DSC, TGA, KF, AAS, XRF, XRD) for modern pharmaceutical analysis
  • Analytical method development and validation are routine
